Doris Schröcker

Doris Schröcker is policy and project officer in the Unit for the Single Sky and modernisation of air traffic control in the European Commission's Directorate General for Energy and Transport (DG TREN). She is in charge of research policy and projects related to SESAR and of the feasibility study SWAFEA on the use of alternative fuels, including sustainable biofuels, in aviation.
With a university degree in marketing and industrial management she started her career as marketing manager at Graz airport in Austria. She changed to the ministry for transport, innovation and technology to build up the national transport research programme and the participation of Austria in the EU research programmes. In Brussels since 1997, she worked in transport and research in the European Commission, and as Transport Attaché at the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU. Before joining the Single Sky Unit, she was Head of DG TREN's Coordination Team for research in energy and transport.
